FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN'S USE ONLY TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE CHECKS & TESTS WILL NOT POWER UP - No operation - No keypad response - No LED's or display No power to dryer. Check power at outlet, check circuit breaker, fuses, or junction box connections. Connection problem between AC plug and dryer. See Test #2: Supply Connections, page 13. Connection problem between ACU and UI. Check connections and harness continuity between ACU and UI. Power supplies not present at machine electronics. See Test #1: ACU Power Check, page 12. User Interface problem. See Test #6: Buttons & Indicators, page 22. WILL NOT START CYCLE (No response when Start button is pressed.) Door not fully closed or striking the door latch. Door Switch problem. Drive Belt / Belt Switch problem. Thermal Fuse / Motor problem. User Interface problem. ACU problem. Be sure the door is completely closed, then press and hold the START button. See Test #7: Door Switch, page 22. See Test #3: Motor Circuit, page 15. See Test #3: Motor Circuit, page 15. See Test #6: Buttons & Indicators, page 22. See Test #1: ACU Power Check, page 12. WILL NOT SHUT OFF WHEN EXPECTED Poor airflow. Check the Start/Pause button. Moisture Sensor problem. Thermistor problem. User Interface problem. ACU problem. Check lint screen and exhaust vent. See Test #1: ACU Power Check, page 12. CONSOLE WON'T ACCEPT SELECTIONS User selected invalid option. User Interface problem. Refer customer to "Use and Care Guide". See Test #6: Buttons & Indicators, page 22. DRUM WILL NOT SPIN Drive Belt / Belt Switch problem. Thermal Fuse (elect. only). Door switch problem. Motor problem. ACU problem. See Test #3: Motor Circuit, page 15. See Test #4b: Thermal Fuse, page 20. See Test #7: Door Switch, page 22. See Test #3: Motor Circuit, page 15. See Test #1: ACU Power Check, page 12. WILL NOT HEAT Check installation. Check for L1 and L2. Heater system malfunction or open heater coil. ACU problem. Verify proper dryer installation. Perform ACU L1 and L2 tests under Service Test Mode. See Test #4: Heat System, page 16. See Test #1: ACU Power Check, page 12. HEATS IN AIR CYCLE SHUTS OFF BEFORE CLOTHES ARE DRY Heater coil shorted. Heater relay shorted. Heater system problem. Dryness or Dry Level setting for auto cycles. Lint screen full. Heater vent clogged. Moisture Sensor problem. Adjust Customer Focused Dryness Level. WATER VALVE NOT DISPENSING Steam cycle not selected. (ON SOME MODELS) No water to valve. (Water valve is activated intermittently No water from valve. during the steam cycle.)
