Cleaning and care Drip tray Clean the drip tray daily to prevent odors and mold. The coffee system displays a message when the drip tray is full and needs to be emptied. At this point the drip tray must be emptied. ,Risk of burns! If the coffee system has just been rinsed, wait a while before removing the drip tray. Rinse water runs out of the dispensers. Make sure that the metal discs (contacts) on the drip tray are cleaned and dried properly. If they are dirty or damp, the discs will not be able to detect that the drip tray is in place or that it is full. ^ Clean the space under the drip tray. ^ Push the drip tray back into the coffee system. Make sure the drip tray is pushed in as far as it will go. ^ Open the front door and carefully remove the drip tray. The grid in the drip dray helps keep the water in place while you move the full drip tray. ^ Wash the drip tray and the grid in the dishwasher, or by hand with warm water and liquid dish soap, then dry. 57
