Install a DSL filter between your phone line and a phone. b. Use the phone cable to connect the DSL filter to the VDSL port on the modem router. Unplug your modem's power, leaving the modem connected to the wall jack for your Internet service. If your modem uses a battery backup, remove the battery. 6

Use the phone cable to connect the DSL filter to the
VDSL port on the modem router.
