The Smart Portrait Menu • See "Changing the Image Size (Image Mode)" (A 63) for information about Image mode. Skin Softening Select smart portrait mode M d button M F tab M Skin softening Enable skin softening. Option Description S High When the shutter is released, the camera detects one or R Normal (default setting) more human faces (up to three), and processes the image to soften facial skin tones before saving the image. You can Q Low select the amount of effect that is applied. k Off Turns skin softening off. The current setting can be confirmed by the indicator displayed in the monitor during shooting (A 6). No indicator is displayed when Off is selected. The effects of skin softening are not visible when framing pictures for shooting. Check the degree of skin softening performed in playback mode. Smile Timer Select smart portrait mode M d button M F tab M Smile timer The camera detects human faces and then automatically releases the shutter whenever a smile is detected. Option Description a On (default setting) Enables smile timer. k Off Turns the smile timer off. The current smile timer setting is indicated by an icon when shooting (A 6). Skin Softening
Enable skin softening.
The current setting can be confirmed by the indicator displayed in the monitor
during shooting (
