Problem Cause/Solution A Images are too bright Adjust exposure compensation. 47 (overexposed). Unexpected results when flash set to V (auto with red-eye reduction). Use any scene mode other than Night portrait, and change the flash mode to any setting other than V (auto with red-eye reduction) and try taking the picture again. 43, 48 • In some shooting conditions, facial skin tones 51 Skin tones are not softened. may not be softened. • For images containing four or more faces, try using the Skin softening effect in Glamour 71 retouch in the playback menu. Saving images takes time. It may take more time to save images in the following situations: • When the noise reduction function is in operation, such as when shooting in a dark environment • When the flash mode is set to V (auto with red-eye reduction) • When shooting in Night landscape, Night portrait, or Backlighting (when HDR is set to On) scene mode • When the skin softening function is applied while shooting • When using continuous shooting mode - 44 27, 28, 29 51, 105 96 A ring-shaped belt or rainbowcolored stripe appears in the monitor or images. When shooting with backlighting or when a very strong light source (such as sunlight) is in the frame, a ring-shaped belt or rainbow-colored stripe (ghosting) may occur. Change the position of the - light source, or frame the picture so that the light source does not enter the frame, and try again. Playback Issues Problem File cannot be played back. Cause/Solution A • This camera may not be able to play back images saved with another make or model of digital camera. • This camera cannot play back movies recorded - with another make or model of digital camera. • This camera may not be able to play back data edited on a computer.
