Self-timer The camera is equipped with a self-timer that releases the shutter 10 seconds or 2 seconds after you press the shutter-release button. Set Photo VR (A131) to Off in the setup menu when using a tripod to stabilize the camera during shooting. 1 Tap the self-timer icon. Shooting Features 2 Tap 10 s or 2 s. • 10 s (10 seconds): Use on important occasions, such as weddings. • 2 s (2 seconds): Use to prevent camera shake. • To return to the shooting screen without changing the setting, tap S. 25m 0s 880 Self-timer 10 s 2 s Off 3 Frame the picture and press the shutter-release button halfway. • Focus and exposure are set. 4 Press the shutter-release button the rest of the way down. • Countdown starts. The self-timer lamp flashes and then glows steadily about one second before the shutter is released. • When the shutter is released, the self-timer is set to Off. • To stop the countdown, press the shutter-release button again. 10 1/ 250 F3.3 45
