Preparation 2 Charge the Battery The Charge Lamp Status Description Blinks slowly (green) The battery is charging. Off The battery is not charging. When charging is complete, the charge lamp stops blinking green and turns off. Flickers (green) • The ambient temperature is not suited to charging. Charge the battery indoors with an ambient temperature of 5 °C to 35 °C (41 °F to 95 °F). • The USB cable or Charging AC Adapter is not properly connected, or there is a problem with the battery. Disconnect the USB cable or unplug the Charging AC Adapter and correctly connect it again, or change the battery. C Charging Using Computer or Battery Charger • You can also charge the Rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL12 by connecting the camera to a computer (A 81, E75). • The EN-EL12 can be charged without using the camera by using the Battery Charger MH-65 (available separately; E85). C Notes About an AC Power Source • You can take pictures and play back images while using the AC Adapter EH-62F (available separately; E85) to power the camera from an electrical outlet. • Do not, under any circumstances, use another make or model of AC adapter other than EH-62F. Failure to observe this precaution could result in overheating or damage to the camera. 17

The Charge Lamp
Status
Description

The battery is charging.

The battery is not charging. When charging is complete, the charge
lamp stops blinking green and turns off.
