C When the Self-timer Lamp Blinks The self-timer lamp blinks slowly when the camera detects a face, and blinks quickly immediately after the shutter is released. C Releasing the Shutter Manually Pictures can also be taken by pressing the shutter-release button. The camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame when faces are not detected.
