First Steps Inserting the Battery Insert a Rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL10 (supplied) that has been fully charged, using the Battery Charger MH-63 (supplied), into your camera. 1 Open the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover. 2 Insert the battery. Confirm that the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals are oriented correctly as described on the label at the entrance of the battery chamber, and insert the battery. Use the side of the battery to push aside the orange battery latch in the direction of the arrow 1, and fully insert the battery 2. The battery is fully inserted when the latch clicks back into place. B Inserting the Battery Inserting the battery upside down or backwards could damage the camera. Be sure to check the battery is in the correct orientation. 3 Close the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover. 14

Inserting the Battery
Insert a Rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL10 (supplied) that has been fully
charged, using the Battery Charger MH-63 (supplied), into your camera.

Open the battery-chamber/memory card slot
cover.

Insert the battery.
Confirm that the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals
are oriented correctly as described on the label at the
entrance of the battery chamber, and insert the battery.
Use the side of the battery to push aside the orange
battery latch in the direction of the arrow

The battery is fully inserted when the latch clicks back
into place.

Inserting the battery upside down or backwards could
damage the camera.
Be sure to check the battery is in the correct
orientation.
