Macro Mode, The Macro Mode Setting

Basic Photography and Playback: Auto Mode Macro Mode Macro mode is used for taking pictures of objects as close as 10 cm (3.9 in.). Note that the flash may be unable to light entire subject at distances of less than 60 cm (23.6 in.). 1 Press p (macro mode). The macro menu is displayed. 2 Use the multi selector to choose ON and press k. The macro mode icon (F) is displayed. The monitor will return to the normal display for the current mode if the setting is not applied by pressing k within a few seconds. 3 Press g (i) or f (h) to frame the picture. The camera can focus at a distance of 10 cm (3.9 in.) at the zoom position at which F and the zoom indicator glow green (the zoom indicator is positioned before K). Macro mode C Macro Mode In macro mode, the camera focuses continuously until the shutter-release button is pressed halfway to lock focus. C The Macro Mode Setting When macro mode is applied in a scene mode, the setting is only enabled until another shooting mode is selected or the camera is turned off. Switching to another shooting mode or turning the camera off enables the default macro setting for all modes. 31
