Using electronic view finder (sold separately) If you use the electronic view finder (sold separately: VF-2), you can view the shooting screen in the finder. This is convenient when you are in a very bright location, such as under direct sunlight, where it is difficult to view the monitor, or are using the camera at a low angle. Also refer to the electronic view finder's manual. 1 Turn off the camera. 2 Slide off the hot shoe cover. • Keep the shoe cover in a safe place to avoid losing it. 3 Remove the connector cover from the electronic view finder. 4 Align the electronic view finder with the hot shoe on the camera body, and slide it in until it stops. • Insert the electronic view finder by pushing on its lower part. 5 Turn on the camera. 6 Each press of the u button switches between the monitor display and electronic view finder display. • You can adjust the brightness and color temperature of the electronic view finder. g "EVF ADJUST" (P. 74) 7 Turn the diopter adjustment ring to 11 a position where the image on the viewfinder can be seen clearly. Information • Adjust the electronic view finder to your preferred angle (up to 90 degrees). # Caution • You cannot use an external flash and the electronic view finder at the same time. • When carrying the camera, do not hold it by the electronic view finder. The camera may separate from the electronic view finder and drop. • Do not leave the camera with the electronic view finder attached in a location subject to direct sunlight. 100 EN

Using electronic view
nder (sold separately)
If you use the electronic view
nder (sold separately: VF-2), you can view the
shooting screen in the
nder. This is convenient when you are in a very bright
location, such as under direct sunlight, where it is dif
cult to view the monitor,
or are using the camera at a low angle. Also refer to the electronic view
nder’s
manual.

Turn off the camera.

Slide off the hot shoe cover.
Keep the shoe cover in a safe place to
avoid losing it.

Remove the connector cover from
the electronic view
nder.

Align the electronic view
nder with the hot shoe on the camera
body, and slide it in until it stops.
Insert the electronic view
nder by pushing on its lower part.

Turn on the camera.

Each press of the
u
button switches between the monitor
display and electronic view
nder display.
You can adjust the brightness and color temperature of the electronic view
nder.
