Choosing a focus mode (AF mode) Select a focusing method (focus mode). 1 Display the live control (P. 20) and select the AF mode item using FG. 2 Select an option with HI and press the i button. AUTO S-AF e S-AF g OFF SINGLE AF ISO AUTO • The selected AF mode is displayed on the LCD monitor. P S-AF C-AF MF S-AF+MF S-AF 2 (single AF) The camera focuses once when the shutter button is pressed halfway. When the focus is locked, a beep sounds, and the AF confirmation mark and the AF target mark light up. This mode is suitable for taking pictures of still subjects or subjects with limited movement. C-AF (continuous AF) The camera repeats focusing while the shutter button remains pressed halfway. When the subject is in focus, the AF confirmation mark lights up on the LCD monitor and the beep sounds when the focus is locked at the first and second time. Even if the subject moves or you change the composition of the picture, the camera continues trying to focus. • The AF target does not light up, even when the subject is in focus. • Four Thirds system lenses focus using S-AF.
