Doing so may prevent the image data from being saved and render the internal memory or card unusable. • Open the battery/card compartment cover. • Remove the battery and card. • Disconnect the USB cable. Extending the useful life of the battery • Performing any of the following operations when not actually taking pictures can deplete the battery power. • The shutter button is pressed halfway repeatedly in shooting mode, activating the auto focus and digital image stabilization. • Using the zoom repeatedly. • [FULLTIME AF] is set to [ON]. • The monitor is left on for an extended period of time. • The camera is connected to a computer or printer. Functions that cannot be selected from menus/buttons • Some items may not be selectable from the menus when using the arrow pad. (Menu items displayed in gray cannot be selected.) • Items that cannot be set with the current shooting mode • Items that cannot be set because of an item that has already been set: When the focus mode is set to [MF], [AF MODE] cannot be selected. • Some items cannot be set when the button is pressed. Do not do any of the following while the card access lamp is blinking. Doing so may prevent
the image data from being saved and render the internal memory or card unusable.

Open the battery/card compartment cover.
•
Remove the battery and card.
•
Disconnect the USB cable.
•
Performing any of the following operations when not actually taking pictures can deplete
the battery power.
•
