Doing so may prevent the image data from being saved and render the internal memory or card unusable. • Open the battery/card compartment cover. • Remove the battery and card. • Disconnect the USB cable. Extending the useful life of the battery • Performing any of the following operations when not actually taking pictures can deplete the battery power. • The shutter button is pressed halfway repeatedly in shooting mode, activating the auto focus and digital image stabilization. • Using the zoom repeatedly. • [FULLTIME AF] is set to [ON]. • The monitor is left on for an extended period of time. • The camera is connected to a computer or printer. If you use a non-Olympus card or a card used for another application, such as for a
computer, use [FORMAT] function to format the card.

Do not do any of the following while the card access lamp is blinking. Doing so may prevent
the image data from being saved and render the internal memory or card unusable.
Open the battery/card compartment cover.
Remove the battery and card.
Disconnect the USB cable.
Performing any of the following operations when not actually taking pictures can deplete
the battery power.
