Advanced Setup-Continued Equalizer Settings These settings are set automatically by the Automatic Speaker Setup function (see page 52). With the Equalizer settings, you can adjust the tone of speakers individually with a 15-band equalizer. The volume of each speaker can be set on page 98. 1 RECEIVER Press the [RECEIVER] REMOTE MODE button, followed by the [SETUP] button. The main menu appears onscreen. Manual: The equalizer for each speaker can be set manually. Audyssey:The equalizer for each speaker is set automatically by the Automatic Speaker Setup function. If you selected Manual, continue with the next step. If you selected Off or Audyssey, go to step 8. Use the Down [ ] button to select "Channel," and then use the Left and Right [ ]/[ ] buttons to select the speaker. You can select: Front, Center, Surround, Surr Back, or Subwoofer. Use the Up and Down [ ]/[ ] buttons to select a frequency, and use the Left and Right [ ]/[ ] buttons to cut or boost that frequency. You can select: 25 Hz, 40 Hz, 63 Hz, 100 Hz, 160 Hz, 250 Hz, 400 Hz, 630 Hz, 1000 Hz, 1600 Hz, 2500 Hz, 4000 Hz, 6300 Hz, 10000 Hz, or 16000 Hz. And for the subwoofer, 25 Hz, 40 Hz, 63 Hz, 100 Hz, or 160 Hz. Each band can be cut or boosted from -6 dB to +6 dB in 1 dB steps. Tip: Low frequencies, such as 160 Hz, affect bass sounds; high frequencies, such as 6300 Hz, affect treble sounds. 99

Equalizer Settings
With the Equalizer settings, you can adjust the tone of

ume of each speaker can be set on page 98.

Press the [RECEIVER] REMOTE
MODE button, followed by the
[SETUP] button.
The main menu appears onscreen.

Use the Up and Down [
