Remote controller You can use the TX-DS747's remote controller to operate components that are equipped with an Onkyo RI (Remote Interactive) connector and are connected to the R I connectors on the TX-DS747. Refer to "Connections for remote controller" on page 1 1 for connection details. The remote controller can also be used to operate other brands of video equipment if the correct device code is programmed into the remote controller. Refer to the separate "Remote Controller Set-up & Code List" for details on how to program a device code. • Note for customers in areas other than U.S. and Canada: You cannot use the remote controller when the POWER button on the front panel is set to OFF. General controls: These buttons are always available regardless of the Device select switch position. Remote controller operation indicator Lights up each time you press a button on the remote controller. POWER button Switches the TX-DS747 between standby status (the STAND-BY indicator is lit) and power-on status. MUTE button Temporarily mutes the sound from the speakers. and PRE OUT and PHONES outputs. but not the MULTI SOURCE PRE OUT. The MUTE indicator on the display flashes. Press this button again or turn the power off and on to cancel the audio muting. On-screen cursor operation buttons Allow you to move the cursor in the on-screen display. INPUT SELECTOR buttons Allow you to select an input from TAPE-1 , TAPE-2 (monitor), TUNER or CD. VIDEO -11/10- buttons Allow you to select an input from VIDEO 1 through 4. R 0 OM • ..• Cc • •• ()WWII° MAIN/SUB select switch Switch to "MAIN" to operate the system from the main room using the remote controller; switch to "SUB" to control it from the sub room. VOL /7 buttons Allow you to adjust the volume level of the selected component. ENTER button Displays the Menu screen or confirms the cursor operation in the on-screen display. Device select switch Allows you to select the component that you wish to operate or to enter a remote control code. AUDIO .44. buttons Allow you to select an input from TAPE-1 , TUNER. PHONO, and CD.
