In this case, you should connect all speakers and the subwoofer to the external power amp. If you have a powered subwoofer, connect it to the TX-NR901's PRE OUT SUB output. Surround back right speaker 36 Connecting Components With (Remote Interactive) you can control your -compatible Onkyo CD player, DVD player, and so on with the TX-NR901's remote controller, and use the following special functions: • To use , you must make an RCA/phono analog audio connection between the TX-NR901 and the other AV components, even if they are connected digitally. Auto Power On/Standby When you start playback on an AV component connected via , if the TX-NR901 is in Standby, it will turn on and select that AV component as the input source automatically. Similarly, when the TX-NR901 is set to Standby, all components connected via also enter Standby. This function will not work if a component's power cord is connected to an AC OUTLET on the TX-NR901. Direct Change When playback is started on an AV component connected via , the TX-NR901 automatically selects that AV component as the input source. Remote Operation function With the TX-NR901's remote controller, you can operate -compatible Onkyo components.
