The manner in which the speakers are placed Irodes depending on the size of the room and the w all coverings used in the room. The following shows an example of a layout for standard speaker placement. Refer to the exmriple for placing the speakers appropriately in order to experience the best Surround ,und. In principle. for Surround sound reproduction. two Front speakers and two Surround (Rear) speakers are required. Refer to the illustration on the left. Placing the front speakers If the Front I. and R speakers are placed too far away from each other. sound spreads out too much and is dispersed resulting in diminished sound quality. Placing:the center speaker To enjoy Surround sound, a Center speaker is required in addition to the four basic speakers. If a screen with a projector is used. place the Center speaker under the screen. If a Monitor TV is used, it is recommended that the Center speaker he placed on top of or under the Monitor. Placing the rear speakers To bring out the feeling of shifting sound, the rear speakers should not he placed on the floor. but would he most effective placed above ear position. Thee can also he placed facing the ceiling or walls to reflect the sound. Plac ing.a subwoofer speaker To emoy powerful Kass sounds. install a subwoofer with a built-in power amplifier. The placement of the Subwooter does not affect the final quality of the sound image too much. therefore as its exact placement is not critical. you can install it more with the room layout in mind.
