Preparation • When you turn the camera off, carry the camera or play back the pictures, attach the lens cap to protect the surface of the lens. • Detach the lens cap before turning on the camera in the recording mode. • If you turn the camera on and then rotate the zoom lever when the lens cap is attached, the message [REMOVE THE LENS CAP AND TURN THE CAMERA ON AGAIN] appears. Detach the lens cap and turn the camera off and on. • Be careful not to lose the lens cap. • Check that the strap is properly attached. • When detaching the strap, use a pointed object to loosen the knot and then detach it. • When using the lens cap and the strap at the same time, attach the strap before the lens cap. If you attach the lens cap first, it may become difficult to attach the strap. • When you turn the camera off, carry the

• Detach the lens cap before turning on the
camera in the recording mode.
• If you turn the camera on and then rotate
the zoom lever when the lens cap is
attached, the message [REMOVE THE
LENS CAP AND TURN THE CAMERA
ON AGAIN] appears. Detach the lens cap
and turn the camera off and on.
