ENGLISH Boosting the subwoofer ON/OFF LEVEL External unit Preparation • All peripheral components and cables are sold separately. • Turn off all equipment and read the appropriate operating instruc- tions. Connecting to a portable audio equipment This feature enables you to enjoy music from a portable audio equipment. Portable audio equipment (not included) DANSK FRANÇAIS 1 Press [ON/OFF] on the subwoofer (remote control: [SUBWOOFER]) to activate the subwoofer function. 2 Press [LEVEL] on the subwoofer to select your desired setting. Each time you press the button: SUB W MIN SUB W MID SUB W MAX To turn off the subwoofer function Press [ON/OFF] on the subwoofer (remote control: [SUBWOOFER]) to select "SUB W OFF". Note: This function is not applicable when a headphone is connected. Enjoying surround sound Enable you to add natural width and depth to the stereo sound. To activate Press and hold [−SURROUND] to select "SURROUND ON". To cancel Press and hold [−SURROUND] again to select "SURROUND OFF". Note: • Surround sound is less discernible when listening through head- phones. • If interference in FM stereo reception increases, cancel the sur- round sound effect. Otherwise, sound from the speaker may be distorted. 1 Plug the audio cord into the MUSIC PORT jack. 2 Press [EXT-IN] repeatedly until "MUSIC PORT" is displayed. 3 For listening : Proceed to step 4. For recording : Press [¶, REC] on the main unit to start recording. 4 Play the portable audio equipment. Connecting to other external unit You can connect to an analog player with a built-in phone equalizer.
