It may not be able to play some CD-R or CD-RW due to the condition of the recording. Finalizing is a process that enables CD-R/CD-RW players to play audio CD-R and CD-RW. 1 Press [POWER ] to turn the unit on. 2 Press [OPEN/CLOSE c] to open the tray. 3 Insert the CD. Set a CD label up on the tray. Press [OPEN/CLOSE c] to close the tray. 4 Press [CD -/ J] to start play. 5 Adjust the volume. To stop the disc. Press [STOP L]. To pause play Press [CD -/ J]. Press [CD -/ J] again to resume play. Skipping tracks Press [4/REW/ g] (backward) or [3 /FF/ f] (forward). Searching through tracks During play or pause Press and hold [4/REW/ g] (backward) or [3 /FF/ f] (forward). To select a track with the remote control Press the numeric button(s) to select the desired track. To select a two-digit track Press [≥10] and then the two numbers you want. For example Track no. 20: [≥10]→[2]→[0] Track no. 35: [≥10]→[3]→[5] One touch play When a CD is loaded and the unit is off, press [CD -/ J]. The unit comes on and starts play. To remove a CD Press [OPEN/CLOSE c]. Note • During random play (\page 13), you cannot skip to tracks which have already been played. • During program play (\page 14), or random play, you cannot search forward or backward over tracks. • During program play, skipping is always in the programmed order, whether forward or backward. • Program play cannot be used in combination with random play.
