Preparation for Cooking Rice The minimum and maximum amount of rice that can be cooked will vary depending on the menu chosen. Put the rinsed rice into the pan and add water to the appropriate water level depending on the amount of rice and the menu chosen. To measure the water level correctly, place the pan on a flat surface and check the water level against the gauges at both sides of the pan.
