Unicast port (MANUAL): Up to 14 users can access a single camera concurrently. It is necessary to select "Unicast port1(Image)" and "Unicast port2 (Audio)" manually to transmit images and audio from the camera. It is possible to fix the port number of the router used for MPEG-4 image transmission via the Internet by setting "Unicast port (MANUAL)" ( page 74). Refer to the operating instructions of the router in use. Multicast: Unlimited number of users can access a single camera concurrently. Complete the entry field of "Multicast address", "Multicast port" and "Multicast TTL/HOPLimit" when transmitting MPEG-4 images with multicast. * Refer to page 6 for further information about the maximum concurrent access number. Default: Unicast port (AUTO) [Unicast port1(Image)] *1 Enter the unicast port number (used to transmit images from the camera). Available port number: 1024 - 50000 (Only even num- bers are available.) Default: 32004 [Unicast port2(Audio)] *1 Enter the unicast port number (used to transmit audio from the camera). Available port number: 1024 - 50000 (Only even num- bers are available.) Default: 33004 [Multicast address] *2 Enter the multicast IP address. Images and audio will be transmitted to the designated IP address. Available IPv4 address: 224.0.0.0 - 239.255.255.255 Available IPv6 address: Multicast address starting with "FF" Default: MPEG-4(1): 239.192.0.20 MPEG-4(2): 239.192.0.21 [Multicast port] *2 Enter the multicast port number (used to transmit images from the camera). Available port number: 1024 - 50000 (Only even num- bers are available.) Default: 37004 Note: • When audio is transmitted from the camera, the port number to be used will be the multicast port number plus "1 000". [Multicast TTL/HOPLimit] *2 Enter the multicast TTL/HOPLimit value. Available value: 1 - 254 Default: 16 Important: • When transmitting an MPEG-4 image via a network, the transmitted image sometimes may not be displayed. In this case, refer to the network administrator. • When two or more network interface cards are installed on the PC in use, the network interface card(s) not used for receiving images should be invalidated when displaying images using the multicast port. *1 It is necessary to designate the unicast port number when "Unicast port (MANUAL)" is selected for "Transmission type". *2 It is necessary to designate the multicast IP address when "Multicast" is selected for "Transmission type". camera.
It is possible to fix the port number of the router used
for MPEG-4 image transmission via the Internet by
setting "Unicast port (MANUAL)" (
page 74).
Refer to the operating instructions of the router in
use.
Multicast:
Unlimited number of users can access a sin-
gle camera concurrently. Complete the entry field of
"Multicast address", "Multicast port" and "Multicast
TTL/HOPLimit" when transmitting MPEG-4 images
with multicast.
*
Refer to page 6 for further information about the
maximum concurrent access number.
Default:
Unicast port (AUTO)
[Unicast port1(Image)] *1
Enter the unicast port number (used to transmit images
from the camera).
Available port number:
1024 - 50000 (Only even num-
bers are available.)
Default:
32004
[Unicast port2(Audio)] *1
Enter the unicast port number (used to transmit audio
from the camera).
Available port number:
1024 - 50000 (Only even num-
bers are available.)
Default:
33004
[Multicast address] *2
Enter the multicast IP address.
Images and audio will be transmitted to the designated
IP address.
Available IPv4 address:
224.0.0.0 - 239.255.255.255

Note:
When audio is transmitted from the camera, the port
number to be used will be the multicast port number
plus "1 000".
[Multicast TTL/HOPLimit] *2
Enter the multicast TTL/HOPLimit value.
Available value:
1 - 254
Default:
16
Important:
When transmitting an MPEG-4 image via a network,
the transmitted image sometimes may not be dis-
played. In this case, refer to the network administra-
tor.
When two or more network interface cards are
installed on the PC in use, the network interface
card(s) not used for receiving images should be
invalidated when displaying images using the multi-
cast port.
*1
It is necessary to designate the unicast port number
when "Unicast port (MANUAL)" is selected for
"Transmission type".
*2
It is necessary to designate the multicast IP address
when "Multicast" is selected for "Transmission type".
