5 INSTALLATION GUIDELINES (continued) • Minimum 15 GPM [56.8 LPM] flow for water features. • If the pool has multiple lights, water features, etc., it is recommended that the fire/water features be run independent of each other, using a separate transformer for each group or type of water feature. Otherwise all water features connected to the same transformer will operate together. • 3/4" hose adapter needed to connect fire/water bowl to water line. • 1-1/2" water supply line recommended. • Install a check valve in the water supply line to prevent bowl from draining when not in use. • Install an adjustable control valve in the water supply line to allow water flow adjustments. • Install the bowl so that the water is flowing into the pool, spa, or fountain. • Spillover scupper must be no less than 3 inches [7.6 cm] over finished edge of pool, spa coping or fountain pedestal. • Separate bond wire required for each bowl. • Ensure the fire feature has a way to drain water. Providing proper drainage is critical. • If installing the fire feature on a column, ensure the bowl is anchored properly. • Ensure the electrical and gas line hole is sealed to prevent water cannot penetrating the coping surface under the bowl.
