INSTALLING/REPLACING BATTERY Use one 3V lithium battery (CR-2 or equivalent) O 0 • r 4t t riloi. 0 O 0 0 00 000 0 0 0 0 O 00 O00 0 0 O 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 O O 0 0 O 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Ensure that the power is OFF before replacing the battery. 1 Open the battery chamber cover by using the strap as shown in the illustration. 2 Insert one lithium battery with the plus/minus ( + / - ) sides matching the indications in the battery compartment. 3 Close the battery chamber cover. Ensure that the cover is locked with a click. Notes on replacing the battery: • Ensure that the power is OFF before re- placing the battery. • The battery is used by both the camera body and the data function on the DATE model. After the battery is replaced or removed, the time is initialized to 0 00 and ( )bar marks appear on the LCD panel. See page 41 for correcting the time. • The date and no. of exposed frames are memorized and unchanged even if the battery is replaced. 8
