Taking Pictures Taking Pictures 1 4 Taking Pictures by the Simplest Procedure (Green Mode) Taking Pictures The Green mode lets you take pictures quickly and easily, simply by pressing the shutter release button. In Q (Green) mode, the camera automatically sets all the functions, including the shutter speed and aperture. You can use the zoom button to change the size of the subject. 1 Press the QUICK button in Capture mode or Playback mode. Q 123 You can switch to the Green mode at any stage of operation in Capture mode or Playback mode. Press the QUICK button again to return to the mode before the Green mode was activated. Press the ( button, b button or four-way controller (2) to switch to the Program mode. 04/14/2004 12:00 2 Press the shutter release button halfway. The focus frame on the LCD monitor will light green when the camera is in focus. 3 Press the shutter release button. The picture is taken. • If the camera is turned off in the Green mode, it will turn on again in the Green mode the next time the power switch is pressed. The Green mode lets you take pictures quickly and easily, simply by
pressing the shutter release button. In
Q
(Green) mode, the camera
automatically sets all the functions, including the shutter speed and
aperture. You can use the zoom button to change the size of the subject.

Press the QUICK button in Capture
mode or Playback mode.
You can switch to the Green mode at any
stage of operation in Capture mode or
Playback mode.
Press the QUICK button again to return to the
mode before the Green mode was activated.
Press the

Press the shutter release button halfway.
The focus frame on the LCD monitor will light green when the camera
is in focus.

Press the shutter release button.
The picture is taken.
Taking Pictures by the Simplest Procedure
(Green Mode)
If the camera is turned off in the Green mode, it will turn on again
in the Green mode the next time the power switch is pressed. The
Green mode start-up screen will appear.
No settings, including the flash mode and focus mode, can be
changed in the Green mode.
