English Getting Started (continued) Step 6: Setting the speakers' channels E Use ST keys to highlight { Speakers Delay, } then press X. You can adjust the delay times (center and surround only) and volume level for individual speakers. These adjustments let you optimize the sound according to your surroundings and setup. Before you start... Stop the disc playback by pressing STOP button twice or remove the disc from the disc tray. Otherwise, the settings are not accessible. A In 'DISC' mode, press SETUP on the remote control. B Press X repeatedly to select { Audio Setup Page. } C Press T to highlight { Speakers Volume, } then press X. Audio Setup Page Speakers Volume Speakers Delay Night Mode CD UpsamplSinpgeakers Level Setup Front Left 0dB Front Right 0dB Center 0dB Subwoofer 0dB Rear Left 0dB Rear Right 0dB Audio Setup Page Speakers Volume Speakers Delay Night Mode CD Upsampling Speakers Distance Setup Center 0ms Rear Left 0ms Rear Right 0ms F Use W X keys to set the delay times (0 ms ~ 15 ms) for center and rear speakers that best suit your surround sound needs. G Press OK to confirm. Helpful Hints: - A 1ms increase/decrease of delay time is equivalent to 1 foot change in distance. - Use the longer delay time settings when the rear speakers are closer to the listener than the front speakers. - The test tone will be automatically generated to help you judge the sound level of each speaker. D Use W X keys to set the volume level for each speaker (-6dB ~ +6dB) and press OK to confirm. TIPS: Press W to go back to the previous menu item. Press SETUP to exit the menu. 24
