Turn on this feature will help to improve the picture quality. 1 In 'VIDEO SETUP PAGE,' press 34 to highlight { BLACK LEVEL }, then press 2. { ON } Select this to improve the color contrast and brighten the picture of NTSC discs { OFF } Select this to deactivate the feature. 2 Press 34 to select a setting and press OK to confirm. Closed Captions - turning on/off Closed captions are data that is hidden in the video signal on specific discs, invisible without a special decoder. It shows sound effects such as "phone ringing" and "footsteps." Before you select this function, ensure that the disc contains closed captions information and your TV also has this function. 1 In 'VIDEO SETUP PAGE,' press 34 to highlight { CLOSED CAPTIONS }, then press 2. { ON } Select this to activate the closed captions feature. { OFF } Select this deactivate the feature. 2 Press 34 to select a setting and press OK to confirm.
