User Management • • SyncThru Management Device Management • User Accounts : You can add/delete SyncThru™ Admin 5 user accounts and modify user roles (See "User Accounts" on page 70). User Roles : You can configure permissions for SyncThru™ Admin 5 users. You can define which users can use specific features (See "User Roles" on page 71). SyncThru Update : You can update SyncThru™ Admin 5, install/update/uninstall additional Plug-ins (See "SyncThru Update" on page 72). HTTP Security : You can configure SyncThru™ Admin 5 web server settings, configure certificate, or authentication (See "HTTP Security" on page 73). Email Settings : You can configure SMTP server settings and test sending emails (See "Email settings" on page 74). Database : You can configure database options (See "Database" on page 74). SyncThru Discovery : You can see other SyncThru™ Admin 5 servers on the network (See "SyncThru Discovery" on page 75). User Management User Accounts User Management allows you to manage user accounts for SyncThru™ Admin 5 itself. With SyncThru™ Admin 5 User Accounts, you can use Authentication functionality (Settings menu > Settings > SyncThru Management > HTTP Security > Authentication). With User accounts, you can: • view user accounts. • modify local user accounts. • add local user accounts, domain users or LDAP users to SyncThru™ Admin 5. • remove user accounts from SyncThru™ Admin 5. • view the roles of the specified accounts. • modify the roles of the specified accounts. User account types SyncThru™ Admin 5 supports three types of user accounts. • Local Account: You can create and add accounts directly to SyncThru™ Admin 5. • Domain Account: You can add accounts from a domain server. • LDAP Account: You can add accounts from an LDAP server.
