Text-To-Speech Options Text-to-speech (TTS) provides audible readout of text, such as the contents of text messages. 1. From the Home screen, touch Apps ➔ Settings ➔ My device tab ➔ Language and input. 2. Touch Text-to-speech options for options: • Preferred TTS engine - Select Samsung text-to-speech engine or Google Text-to-speech Engine as your default TTS engine. Touch to configure. • General - Speech rate: Choose a speed at which the text is spoken. - Listen to an example: Play a sample of speech synthesis. Mouse/Trackpad This option sets the pointer speed for an externally connected mouse or trackpad (not included). 1. From the Home screen, touch Apps ➔ Settings ➔ My device tab ➔ Language and input ➔ Pointer speed. 2. Touch and drag along the scale to set the pointer speed. Motions and Gestures Configure various motion and gestures features. Motion Control your device with natural hand movements, such as putting the device to your ear to call a displayed contact. 1. From the Home screen, touch Apps ➔ Settings ➔ My device tab ➔ Motions and gestures. 2. Touch Motion, the touch ON/OFF to enable each feature: • Zoom: Tilt the device to zoom in or out when viewing pictures in Gallery. • Move an icon: Move the device left or right while touching an icon to reposition it to another page. • Browse an image: Move the device in a side-to-side motion to pan from side to side while viewing an image.
