Printing on Preprinted Paper

Page 51 highlights

Printing on Preprinted Paper Guidelines • Letterhead must be printed with heat-resistant ink that will not melt, vaporize, or release hazardous emissions when subjected to the printer's fusing temperature of 400°F (205°C) for 0.1 second. • Ink on letterhead must be non-flammable and should not adversely affect any printer rollers. • Forms and letterhead should be sealed in moisture-proof wrapping to prevent changes during storage. • Before loading preprinted paper as forms and letterhead, verify that the ink on the paper is dry. During the fusing process, wet ink can come off preprinted paper. 1 Load letterhead into the input tray with the design face up, bottom edge toward the printer. Adjust the guide to fit the width of the paper stack. 2 To print on preprinted paper, configure the paper source, type and size in the software application.
