Memory Card Your device supports removable microSD™ or microSDHC™ memory cards for storage of music, pictures, videos, and files. Note: Your device comes with a USB cable, and includes a 16GB memory card pre-installed. Installing and Removing a Memory Card For more information about installing and removing a memory card, see "Memory Card" on page 10. Important!: To prevent damage to information stored on the memory card, always unmount the card before removing it from the device. Formatting a Memory Card Formatting erases all content from the memory card and prepares it for use with your device. Formatting a memory card using your device 1. From a Home screen, press the Menu Key ➔ Settings ➔ SD card and device storage 2. Touch Unmount SD card. At the prompt, touch OK to continue. 3. After unmounting the SD card, touch Format SD card. 4. Follow the prompts to confirm the formatting of the card. 80 Formatting a memory card using your computer Consult your computer and/or memory card reader documentation for information about formatting memory cards. Transferring Files to a Memory Card Transferring files using the Media player USB setting 1. From a Home screen, press the Menu Key ➔ Settings ➔ Wireless and network ➔ USB Settings, then select Media player. 2. Attach your device to the computer with the USB cable. Your computer recognizes the connection and launches the default media player. 3. Use the media player software to transfer files to the memory card. 4. When finished, display the Notifications Panel to disconnect media sync mode. Touch Media Sync: Connected, then touch Yes to disconnect. Disconnect the USB cable.

Important!:

Formatting a Memory Card
Formatting erases all content from the memory card and
prepares it for use with your device.
Formatting a memory card using your device
1.
From a Home screen, press the
Menu Key
Settings
SD card and device storage
2.
Touch
Unmount SD card
. At the prompt, touch
OK
to
continue.
3.
After unmounting the SD card, touch
Format SD card
.
4.
Follow the prompts to confirm the formatting of the card.

Transferring files using the Media player USB setting
1.
