Phone Settings The Phone Settings options let you tailor your phones basic operations. To access the Phone Settings sub-menu, do the following: ᮣ In standby mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Phone Settings. The Phone Settings sub-menu displays on the screen. The following sub-sections detail the available Phone Settings. Airplane Mode When set to On, Airplane Mode disables all radio functions of your phone. This prevents you from receiving or making calls (except emergency calls), but allows you to use other features (such as the camera and the Tools) safely in sensitive environments, such as on board an aircraft. 1. In standby mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Phone Settings ➔ Airplane Mode. 2. Select the desired Airplane Mode setting: • On: Disables the radio transmitter and receiver in your phone. • Off: Enables the radio transmitter and receiver in your phone. Language The language option on your phone can change the language of voice prompts, menus, and key-input. 1. In standby mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Phone Settings ➔ Language. The following options display on the screen: • English • Español 2. Select your language preference. Security Use the Security sub-menu to lock your phone, set up emergency numbers, enable or disable voice privacy, set restrictions, and other security options. To access the Security menu, do the following: 1. In standby mode, press Settings ➔ Security. Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Phone The "Enter Code" prompt displays on the screen. 2. Enter the four-digit lock code using the keypad. Note: The default lock code is the last four digits of your mobile phone number. The "Enter Code" prompt disappears and the Security menu displays on the screen. Changing the Phone Settings 93
