PIN The Personal Identification Number or PIN (4 to 8 digits) protects your SIM card against unauthorized use. It is usually supplied with the SIM card. If you enter an incorrect PIN three times in succession, the code is disabled and cannot be used until you re-enable it by entering the PUK (see below). To... Refer to... The PUK may be supplied with the SIM card. If not, or you have lost it, contact your service provider. To re-enable your PIN, proceed as follows. 1. Key in the PUK and press the OK soft key. 2. Enter a new PIN of your choice and press the OK soft key. 3. When the Confirm New PIN message is displayed, key in the same code again and press the OK soft key. If you enter an incorrect PUK ten times in succession, the SIM card becomes invalid. Contact your service provider for a new card. PIN2 The PIN2 (4 to 8 digits), supplied with some SIM cards, is required to access specific functions, such as setting the Access Codes 112

1. If necessary, switch off the phone by holding down the key until the power-off image is displayed.	18

Storing a Number with a Name	31
