Types of Messages Your phone provides the following message types: • Text Messages (SMS) • Multimedia Messages (MMS) • Email • Voicemail The Short Message Service (SMS) lets you send and receive text messages to and from other mobile phones or email addresses. To use this feature, you may need to subscribe to your service provider's message service. The Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) lets you send and receive multimedia messages (such as picture messages and video messages) to and from other mobile phones or email addresses. To use this feature, you may need to subscribe to your service provider's multimedia message service. 32 Important! When creating a message, adding an image, a sound file, or a video clip to a text message changes the message from a text message to a multimedia message. Creating and Sending Messages 1. From the Idle screen, press Menu ➔ Messages ➔ Create Message. 2. Use the QWERTY keypad to enter a message. 3. Press (Insert) to insert one of the following into your message: • Picture: inserts a picture from the Pictures folder. • Video: inserts a video from the Videos folder. • Sound: allows you to choose an existing audio file from the Audio folder. • Templates: allows you to insert pre-written sentences, such as "Call me when you get this message". • Emoticon: allows you to add emoticons, such as a happy face to your message.

Your phone provides the following message types:
Text Messages (SMS)

Creating and Sending Messages
