IT Policy You can check the current status of the security settings for your phone. • IT Policy name: shows the IT policy name. • Last updated: shows the date when the IT policy has been updated from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. • Set password timeout: shows the expiration time (minute) for the password input. The phone will ask you to enter the password in the specified amount of time. • Max security timeout: shows the maximum security expiration time (minute). The security will be disabled after the specified amount of time. • User can change timeout: shows whether or not you are able to change the expiration time length. • Password required: shows whether or not the phone requires a password. • Password pattern check: shows the pattern of your password. • Maximum password age: shows the maximum age of the password before you are prompted to change it. • Minimum password length: shows the minimum length of an acceptable security password. • Password attempts: shows how many attempts the phone permits when you enter a wrong password. • Long-term timout: shows whether the long-term security expiration time is enabled or disabled on the phone. When it is enabled, the phone prompts you for your password every hour. 110
