Basic Operations Basic Operations Quick Reference Precautions: • Take care not to touch the lens with your fingers when handling the Digital Recorder. • Operate the switches slowly. To Turn On the Power Slide the POWER switch and hold for more than one second. (It springs back when released.) To Turn Off the Power Slide the POWER switch again and hold it until the operation screen disappears. POWER PLAY CAMERA POWER "BUSY" PLAY CAMERA BUSY • After the "BUSY" indicator, a blue screen is displayed. It may take time until the operation screen appears because of the recording contents on the SmartMedia. Switching the Movie Mode and the Still Mode Set the Mode select switch to MOVIE or STILL. MOVIE mode PLAY CAMERA MOVIE STILL STILL mode MOVIE STILL • Recording in the MOVIE mode is Movie Recording mode. Recording in the STILL mode is Still Recording mode. • Playback in the MOVIE mode is Movie Playback mode. Playback in the STILL mode is Still Playback mode. 22
