Using the PROGRAM AE function (1) In the standby or memory mode, press PROGRAM AE. The PROGRAM AE indicator appears. (2) Turn the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial to select the desired PROGRAM AE mode. The indicator changes as follows: y yy y y y 1 PROGRAM 2 To cancel the PROGRAM AE function Press PROGRAM AE again. Notes •In the spotlight, sports lesson and beach & ski modes, you cannot take close-ups. This is because your camcorder is set to focus only on subjects in the middle to far distance. •In the sunset & moon and landscape modes, your camcorder is set to focus only on distant subjects. •The following functions do not work in the PROGRAM AE mode: - Slow shutter - Old movie - Bounce (DCR-TRV6/TRV11 only) •The following functions do not work in the low lux mode: - Digital effect - Overlap - Wipe - Random dot •While setting the NIGHTSHOT to ON, the PROGRAM AE function does not work. (The indicator flashes.) •While shooting in memory mode, the low lux and sports lesson modes do not work. (The indicator flashes.) While WHT BAL is set to AUTO in the menu settings The white balance is adjusted even if the PROGRAM AE function is selected. Even if the PROGRAM AE function is selected You can adjust the exposure. If you are recording under a discharge tube such as a fluorescent lamp, sodium lamp or mercury lamp Flickering or changes in color may occur in the following modes. If this happens, turn the PROGRAM AE function off. - Soft portrait mode 42 - Sports lesson mode

Notes
