On the MKS-R3210, this button (top left button) lights up blue when the beacon function is executed on the system controller. b MONI (monitor) button/lamp When you press the button, turning the lamp on, the destination set using the web menu is monitored, and the same source selected for the destination or the source with an added offset value is automatically selected. For details about monitor function settings, see "Web Menu" (page 25). c Preset display window This window normally shows the destination name to be controlled. If an error occurs, an error message appears. When you turn the selector knob, the name selected with the knob appears is displayed highlighted for about 5 seconds. d PROT (protect) button/lamp This button applies and releases protection for outputs and displays whether outputs are protected or not. When you press the button together with the LOCK (CHOP) button for 3 seconds or longer, the software is reset. Protection indication function The button lights up when the currently selected destination is protected. The light is green when protected locally, or red when protected on all stations. When the lamp is lit, the source selection buttons are disabled. Protection function When you press the PROT button, turning the lamp on, the currently selected destination becomes protected. When a destination is protected, switching of the source from all panels for the destination is disabled. To release protection, press the PROT button, turning the lamp off. Note When [Protect Mode] in the web menu is set to [Occupy], switching is supported without canceling protection when local protection is applied (switching is not possible when remote protection is applied). Set the protection mode to [Protect] for normal operation. e LOCK (CHOP) button/lamp This button has two functions: lock function and chop function. When you press the button together with the PROT button for 3 seconds or longer, the software is reset. Lock function Press the LOCK button, turning it on red, to lock all the buttons on the front panel (excluding the LOCK button itself). This prevents undesired switching caused by accidental touching of selection buttons. If you press this button while the LOCK lamp is lit red, turning the lamp off, the lock function is released. Chop function When you hold the button pressed for about 3 seconds while the button is not lit, turning the button on green, chop mode is enabled. In chop mode, the source selected before chop 5

STATS (status) button/lamp
Flashes red when an error occurs.
On the MKS-R3210, this button (top left button) lights up blue
when the beacon function is executed on the system
controller.

When you press the button, turning the lamp on, the
destination set using the web menu is monitored, and the
same source selected for the destination or the source with
an added offset value is automatically selected.

This prevents undesired switching caused by accidental

Chop function
