Locking the controls (HOLD) Slide the HOLD switch  on the recorder or on the remote in the direction of the arrow. You can prevent accidental button presses while carrying the recorder by locking the controls. You can use the HOLD function for the recorder and the remote separately. For example, even if the HOLD function on the recorder is activated, you can operate the recorder by using the remote unless you set HOLD on the remote to on, too.
