About Recording CDs Topic: I cannot copy an audio file that was checked out. Verify that the audio file is available for an authorized check-out by navigating to the Song Properties dialog box, as follows: 1 Right-click on a song. A shortcut menu appears. 2 Select Properties. The Song Properties window appears. 3 Verify that the Check-Out remaining option is available. ✍ If the songs are checked out from another computer, the Check-Out remaining option is not available. About Recording CDs Topic: There is noise when I try to record an audio CD. There may be another application running during the SonicStage™ Premium software's recording session. Avoid performing other operations during a recording session. You can also verify the operation of your optical drive, using SonicStage Premium software: 1 Click Start in the Windows taskbar and select All Programs. 2 Point to SonicStage Premium and then click SonicStage Premium. The SonicStage Premium main window appears. 3 Click on Menu in the lower left corner of the main window. 4 From the pop-up menu, select Options. The Options window appears. 5 Click the CD/CD-R tab. From the section, "Check CD Drive," click on the Start check button. The CD Drive Optimization window appears. 6 Click Start. The computer verifies that your optical drive is operating properly. 87
