Selecting the surround, back decoding mode

x HEADPHONE THEATER DCS Allows you to experience a theater-like environment while listening through a pair of headphones. To turn off the surround effect Press 2CH, or press A.F.D. to select "A.F.D. AUTO". Enjoying the surround effect at low volume level (NIGHT MODE) This function allows you to retain a theater like environment at low volume levels. This function can be used with other sound fields. When watching a movie late at night, you will be able to hear the dialog clearly even at a low volume level. Press NIGHT MODE The NIGHT MODE function is activated. Tip While this function is on, the BASS, TREBLE, and EFFECT level increase, and "D.RANGE COMP." is automatically set to "MAX" (page 45). Note This function cannot be activated when MULTI CH IN or DIRECT function is activated. Listening to the sound without any adjustment You can listen to the sound without adjusting the equalizer and surround effect. Press DIRECT. The equalizer and sound fields are canceled. Note LIP SYNC (page 41) is not activated when analog input is selected and DIRECT function is used. Selecting the surround back decoding mode - SURR BACK DECODING This function lets you select the decoding mode for the surround back signals of the multi channel input stream. By decoding the surround back signal of DVD software (etc.) recorded in Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES Matrix, DTS-ES Discrete 6.1, etc. format, you can enjoy the surround sound intended by the filmmakers. Press SURR BACK DECODING repeatedly to select the surround back decoding mode. For details, see "How to select the surround back decoding mode" on page 35. Tip You can select the surround back decoding mode using "SB DECODING" in the CUSTOMIZE menu (page 40). 34GB
