Use this parameter to adjust the sub woofer level when connecting headphones or when the sub woofer is not connected. You can adjust from -6 dB to +6 dB in 1 dB steps. x CENTER TRIM X.X dB (Center speaker trim adjustment) Initial setting: 0 dB Lets you adjust the output of the center speaker. Increase this parameter if you are having trouble hearing the dialog. If you did not install a center speaker, this parameter adjusts the level of the center channel as it is mixed with the sound of the front speakers. You can adjust from -3 dB to +3 dB in 0.5 dB steps. Notes • "S.WOOFER TRIM" and "CENTER TRIM" can be adjusted only when the center speaker is set to "MIX". • "S.WOOFER TRIM" and "CENTER TRIM" do not function for Super Audio CD signals from i.LINK component, MULTI CH IN singals, DST 96/24 decoded signals, or digital audio signals with 48 kHz sampling frequencies. x D.RANGE COMP. (Dynamic range compressor) Lets you compress the dynamic range of the sound track. This may be useful when you want to watch movies at low volumes late at night. • OFF The dynamic range is not compressed. • STD The dynamic range is compressed as intended by the recording engineer. • MAX The dynamic range is compressed dramatically. Tip Dynamic range compressor lets you compress the dynamic range of the soundtrack based on the dynamic range information included in the Dolby Digital signal. "STD" is the standard setting, but it only enacts light compression. Therefore, we recommend using the "MAX" setting. This greatly compresses the dynamic range and lets you view movies late at night at low volumes. Unlike analog limiters, the levels are predetermined and provide a very natural compression. Note Dynamic range compression is possible with Dolby Digital sources only. 45GB
