Troubleshooting Guide 21 subzero.com Frequently Asked Questions Q: How do I adjust temperatures in my wine storage unit? A: To adjust temperatures, refer to temperature control on page 8. For model 427RG, also refer to page 10. Q: What are the suggested temperature settings for my wine storage unit? A: You have the capability of setting two distinct temperatures within the two zones of your wine storage unit. The temperature range in each zone is 39°F (4°C) to 65°F (18°C). The temperature has been preset at 45°F (7°C) in the smaller zone and 55°F (13°C) in the larger zone. The chart on page 19 offers some universally accepted storing and serving temperatures for the most common wines consumed today. Q: What size bottles fit in my wine storage unit? A: Standard 750 ml bottles fit on all shelves of any wine storage unit. Half-bottles and magnums can be arranged on the shelves in the same manner as 750 ml bottles. When storing magnums, you must remove the shelf above to accommodate these larger bottles. Failure to do so may cause the bottles to break. Q: My wine storage unit is not cooling properly. A: Clean the condenser area as outlined on page 17. Q: Why do I hear my wine storage unit running frequently? A: It is normal to hear the operation of fans and compressors. Sounds will be accentuated based on the placement of the unit and overall room design. Q: Condensation is forming on the inside and outside of my wine storage unit. A: In climates with higher humidity, condensation will form and is considered normal. Leaving the door open for a long period of time may also contribute to condensation forming on the inside of your unit.
