Preset Tuning (1) Manual tune Turn the MULTI JOG knob until the station you want to listen to is found. On the remote control unit, press the Scroll buttons The frequency changes by a fixed step. Auto tune Turn the MULTI JOG knob to start auto tuning. When a station is found, the unit tunes in to the station automatically. Repeat this step until the station you want to listen to is found. < If you want to stop the tuning process, press the Stop button (H). Preset tune Turn the MULTI JOG knob to select a preset channel. On the remote control unit, press the Skip buttons (.//). The selected preset channel is tuned in. < For how to preset stations, see the next column. You can store up to 30 FM and 15 AM stations. Preset Automatically 1 Select "TUNER FM" or "TUNER AM" by pressing the TUNER button. 2 Press and hold the PROGRAM button for more than 3 seconds. If the reception is poor Rotate or relocate the antenna to find the best position for reception. FM mode You can select between Stereo and Mono by pressing the FM MODE button when a stereo FM programme is tuned in. The best received stations in your area will be stored automatically. ENGLISH Stereo FM stereo broadcasts are received in stereo and "Stereo" appears on the display. < If the sound is distorted, the signal is not strong enough for good stereo reception. In this case, change to Mono mode. Mono To compensate for weak FM stereo reception, select this mode. Reception will now be forced to monaural, reducing unwanted noise. 31
