38 Finding Your Way Around Right side Right side SD® card slot Modem port S-video port IR port PC Card slots i.LINK® Port USB ports PC Card eject buttons The modem port lets you use a standard RJ-11 telephone cable to connect the modem directly to a standard telephone line. For more information, see "Connecting the modem to a phone line" on page 90. The two stacked PC Card slots support up to two Type I or Type II PC Cards, or one Type III PC Card. See "Using PC Cards" on page 164 for more information. The PC Card eject buttons release PC Cards from the corresponding slots. The SD® card slot holds a stamp-size flash memory card with various capacities of memory. The S-video port lets you play DVD video on a projector or TV that accepts video inputs. The i.LINK® port, also known as the IEEE 1394 port, allows transfers of large quantities of data between the computer and an external device, such as a video camera. The USB ports let you connect a USB peripheral to your computer. The IR (infrared) port provides a cable-free connection for transferring data between your computer and another device, such as a printer or another computer that has a compatible infrared port.
