Replacement Procedures 4.7 Keyboard Removing the keyboard The following describes the procedure for removing the keyboard (See Figure 4-8 to 4-9). CAUTION: As the keycap may fall out, when handling the keyboard always hold it by the frame and do not touch the keycap. 1. Turn the computer upside down 2. Loose the screw securing KBD Holder. M2.0x3.0B Flat BIND screws x2 3. Upside down the computer. 4. Open the display. 5. Remove KBD holder. Insert your finger into the slot between the KBD holder and the keyboard. Then, lift up the keyboard cover to remove it. 6. Insert your finger into the keyboard slot and keyboard. Then lift up the keyboard to remove it. 7. Keyboard
Removing the keyboard
The following describes the procedure for removing the keyboard (See Figure 4-8 to 4-9).
CAUTION:
As the keycap may fall out, when handling the keyboard always hold it by
the frame and do not touch the keycap.
1.
Turn the computer upside down
2.
Loose the
screw
securing KBD Holder.

Flat BIND screws x2

Upside down the computer.
4.
Open the display.
5.
Remove KBD holder. Insert your finger into the slot between the KBD holder and the
keyboard. Then, lift up the
keyboard cover
to remove it.
6.
Insert your finger into the keyboard slot and keyboard. Then lift up the keyboard to
remove it.
7.
Disconnect keyboard cable.
