The Grand Tour Microphone System indicators A built-in microphone allows you to import and record sounds for your application - please refer to the Sound System section in Chapter 4, Operating Basics for more information. Some models are equipped with a built-in microphone. These LED indicators allow you to monitor the status of various computer functions and are described in more detail within the System indicators section. Figure 2-2 The left side of the computer Security lock slot Cooling vents A security cable can be attached to this slot and then connected to a desk or other large object in order to deter theft of the computer. The cooling vents help keep the processor from overheating. Do not block the cooling vents. Keep foreign metal objects, such as screws, staples and paper clips, out of the cooling vents. Foreign metal objects can create a short circuit, which can cause damage and fire, possibly resulting in serious injury. User's Manual 2-3
