2. Use the + and - keys to increase or decrease the category with the highest allotment by 50 units. Using the examples to the right, you start with User Mark at the maximum, 1750, so pressing + doesn't affect the allotments. Pressing - will subtract 50 from User Mark and add 50 to Mute Memory. 3. Press MENU to save that change. Change Quota? displays. Menu Mute mem 300 (100) 250 (100) User Mark 1700 (200) 1750 (200) Press - again for the following result: Menu Mute mem 350 (100) 250 (100) User Mark 1650 (200) 1750 (200) Menu Change Quota? 4. Press MENU again to accept changes to the Memory Quota. A confirmation message displays before returning to the status screen. Menu Quota Completed USER MARKS (LASER AND RADAR SITES) With the R7, you can mark geographical points where you commonly encounter radar transmissions, These can be school zones, red-light cameras, and places where police frequently monitor traffic. When you are at the location, press MARK. The R7 announces "User mark logged." Now, when you approach these points, the R7 announces "User mark ahead." Press and hold MARK at that location to delete that user mark. The R7 registers up to 2000 user marks. It allocates 1000 marks each for User Marks and Mute Memory locations. RED LIGHT CAMERA POINT DELETE When you are at a red light camera and an alert displays, you can delete that camera point. Once deleted, the R7 will not alert at that red light camera location again. To delete the RLC Point, press MUTE/DIM on the unit or MUTE on the power cord while the alert displays. - 25 -
