Service Search Banks The scanner is preprogrammed with many of the frequencies allocated to Police, Fire/Emergency, Ham, Marine, Railroad, Civil Air, Military Air, CB radio, FRS/GMRS/MURS, and Racing services. There are 10 banks allocated for these searches that can be used just like the channel storage banks to search these frequencies in Service Search mode. Custom Search Banks Custom Search Banks let you program and search 10 custom search ranges. During custom search, the scanner starts searching with the lowest frequency in the search range you select to the highest frequency in the range. You can search any or all of these ranges by turning each search bank on or off just like channel storage banks in Search mode.
