Terminology •Standby Mode - The handset maybe sitting on or off the cradle, but is NOT in use. talk/flash or has not been pressed. The corded base handset is on the base and on the base has not been pressed. No dial tone is present. •Talk Mode - The handset is off the cradle and talk/flash or has been pressed, or pick up the corded base handset and on the base is pressed, enabling a dial tone.
